A comprehensive guide to Xi'an Ever Love Scene, a spectacular cultural performance by Songcheng Group.
Xi'an Ever Love Scene (西安千古情) is a large-scale cultural theme park and performance show created by the renowned Songcheng Group. Located in Weiyang District, the park features the epic Ever Love Scene performance that tells the story of Xi'an's rich history through stunning visual effects, acrobatics, and musical performances spanning thousands of years.
The main performance takes audiences on a journey through time, from the ancient Zhou Dynasty to the glorious Tang Dynasty, depicting key historical events and cultural milestones that shaped Xi'an into one of the world's great ancient capitals. The show features state-of-the-art stage technology, including moving platforms, water effects, and aerial performances that create a truly spectacular experience.
Produced by Songcheng Performance, Xi'an Songcheng Show (西安千古情) is a 60-minute large-scale song-and-dance epic that follows a Chinese-American girl returning to China in search of her roots. Her journey becomes a time machine, sweeping across five millennia of Xi'an history — from Neolithic dawn to Tang Dynasty glory to modern resurgence — across five immersive acts packed with 3,000-ton floods, sandstorms, and holographic wonders.
Act I · 半坡之光 (Light of Banpo) — The curtain rises 6,000 years ago. Giant pottery vessels drift overhead as Banpo villagers make pottery, fish, farm, and dance around campfires — the first spark of Huaxia civilization flickers to life.
Act II · 周韵秦风 (Zhou Charm & Qin Spirit) — By the willow-draped banks of the Ba River, graceful dancers evoke the refined rites and poetry of the Zhou Dynasty. Then war drums shatter the calm: hundreds of terracotta warriors burst from the stage floor, bronze chariots thunder forward, and the audience seats tremble as Qin sweeps across the six kingdoms.
Act III · 汉使张骞 (Han Envoy Zhang Qian) — Yellow sand engulfs the stage as camel bells jingle in the distance. Zhang Qian, bearing the imperial tally, leads a hundred-man mission into the perilous Western Regions — a 13-year odyssey of capture, escape, and unwavering loyalty that opens the Silk Road forever.
Act IV · 大唐盛世 (Glory of the Great Tang) — The show's dazzling climax. A 20-meter bolt of silk cascades from the heavens, and Yang Guifei dances atop it mid-air as a thousand palace lanterns ignite one by one. Envoys from every nation throng the gilded halls of Chang'an — the ultimate portrait of Tang's boundless splendor and inclusivity.
Finale · 新的长安 (The New Chang'an) — Past and present merge: ancient city walls dissolve into rocket launches and the Belt and Road Initiative. The girl's journey home becomes a symbol of cultural continuity — Chang'an is not just a city of the past, but a living, eternal spirit.
